A squirrel note from Heneghan

I am now determined to show you a fox squirrel by the end of class tomorrow - a sacred mission. Remember they are all over Lincoln Park!

Althought the picture is very small and fuzzy (like snapshots of Bigfoot) it does look like Stephanie Y. found a fox squirrel at ISU.

The mantis is a Chinese mantis, an introduced insect now common in northern Illinois (you will see it out on most of the prairies here). The tree is Stephanie's posting looks like it could be an american beech (hard to see - but a lovely tree.
